What does compliance mean for you?

🏥 Why CMS v3.0 compliance matters to consumers

When a hospital is v3.0 compliant, it means their pricing data includes:

  • Actual payment data — median and percentile ranges of what insurers really pay, not just contracted rates
  • Verified identity — organizational NPI confirms you're looking at the right hospital entity
  • Accountable leadership — a senior official has personally attested to the accuracy of the data

Non-compliant hospitals may have outdated or less detailed pricing information. CMS can impose penalties of up to $300 per day (up to ~$109,500/year) on non-compliant hospitals.
